1. About LandlordTaxAi

LandlordTaxAi is a software service, with its registered address at 12 Oak Street, Hemel Hempstead, HP3 9TT, United Kingdom (“we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

2. Not tax advice

LandlordTaxAi is a software tool, not a tax adviser. We help you organise your property income data and submit quarterly updates to HMRC under Making Tax Digital. We do not provide tax advice, accounting advice, or legal advice. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you submit to HMRC. For complex situations, consult a qualified accountant or tax adviser.

3. HMRC recognition

LandlordTaxAi is working towards HMRC recognition for MTD for Income Tax. Until recognition is granted, submissions are made in the HMRC sandbox environment. We will notify users when production submissions to HMRC are available. You are responsible for ensuring you meet your MTD obligations using recognised software.

4. Subscriptions and billing

• Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance via Stripe.
• You may cancel at any time from your Settings page. Access continues until the end of your paid billing period.
• We may change prices with 30 days' notice to registered users. Continuing to use the service after a price change constitutes acceptance.
• Refunds are not provided for partial months except where required by UK consumer law.

5. Your responsibilities

• You must provide accurate information about your properties and income.
• You must review AI categorisations before approving any HMRC submission.
• You are responsible for any penalties arising from incorrect HMRC submissions.
• You must keep your account credentials confidential.
• You must not use the service for fraudulent purposes or to submit false information to HMRC.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of LandlordTaxAi shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for: HMRC penalties or interest; losses arising from incorrect AI categorisation that you approved; indirect or consequential losses; or loss of data caused by events outside our reasonable control.

7. Intellectual property

LandlordTaxAi and all associated software, design, and content are owned by LandlordTaxAi. Your data remains yours. We process it solely to provide the service.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, use the service fraudulently, or fail to pay. We will give reasonable notice where possible. You may delete your account at any time from Settings.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
