What is included in every plan?

All three plans include unlimited bank CSV uploads across 8 UK bank formats (Barclays, HSBC, Lloyds, NatWest, Monzo, Starling, Santander, Nationwide), AI categorisation against HMRC SA105 rules, quarterly update submissions to HMRC, and quarterly deadline reminders. The plans differ only in the number of properties supported and the level of support.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. You can sign up and explore the platform before subscribing. No credit card is required to create an account. A subscription is required to submit quarterly updates to HMRC.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?

Yes. You can change your plan at any time from the Settings page inside the app. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.

What happens if I exceed my property limit?

If you add more properties than your current plan allows, you will be prompted to upgrade before saving the additional property. Your existing properties and data are not affected.

Are HMRC submissions included in the price?

Yes. There are no additional charges for quarterly MTD submissions. All plans include direct submissions to HMRC via the official MTD for Income Tax API. Note that direct HMRC API submission is launching soon — see the notice below for details.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes. All plans are billed monthly with no minimum term. Cancel from your Settings page at any time and you retain access until the end of your current billing period. We do not charge cancellation fees.

Is my financial data secure?

Your data is stored in a UK-region PostgreSQL database with encryption at rest. HMRC OAuth tokens are encrypted. We do not store bank login credentials — you upload a CSV export from your bank. All connections use TLS. See the Security page for full details.

What does 'HMRC sandbox verified' label?

LandlordTaxAi connects to the HMRC MTD for Income Tax API. We are working towards full recognition on HMRC's compatible software list. Until recognition is granted, the software operates in the HMRC sandbox environment for testing. We will notify all subscribers when production submissions go live.
